MRI Deputy Imaging Lead

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and highly motivated Radiographer to join us as Deputy MRI Lead at TRFT. This is an excellent role for those looking to develop their leadership and management experience, or for experienced leaders seeking a new challenge in a clinically hands on and fast paced acute hospital setting. You will play a key leadership role within the Radiology team, supporting the MRI Modality Lead in delivering a safe, efficient, and patient-centred imaging service. The ideal candidate will be an MRI Radiographer with strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a passion for high standards of care. We operate Siemens Sola and Avanto 1.5T scanners, supporting a broad range of specialties including Trauma, Orthopaedics, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, ENT, Vascular, General Medicine, Cardiology, Oncology, Breast, Neurology, and Stroke Services. We are proud to have been ranked 2nd in the country for 6-week Radiology wait times (benchmarking data, July 2024)a reflection of our commitment to quality and timely, patient-centred care. MRI is not currently delivered via our CDC, but the post offers potential to shape future service growth. Flexible working across a seven-day rota is essential. You will support, inspire and develop the team whilst fostering a culture of fairness, respect and wellbeing. A commitment to CPD is essential, as is practical knowledge of safety and regulatory guidelines.

Main duties of the job

You will play a key role in the daily running of the MRI service by:

  • Supporting the MRI team and maintaining high clinical standards.
  • Ensuring safe, timely, and compassionate care that puts the patient experience at the heart of everything we do
  • Managing workflow and optimisation of protocols to support both staff and patients
