The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust Pharmacy Department is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic person who is keen to work in a department that is rapidly evolving its working practices with a view to improving patient care.
The Department is forward-thinking and is utilising an innovative approach to IT to drive forward improvement in patient care and departmental practices.
We are challenging the norm and encourage thinking outside the box to use the resources available to deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work primarily on our Respiratory ward, although they will also be expected to provide a Clinical Pharmacy service to other medical specialties as need arises. They will be encouraged to embed into the CSU and to utilise their prescribing skills to ensure that patients are given safe and effective care.
They will lead within the Department on matters relating to respiratory medicine and provide the link between Pharmacy and medical and nursing colleagues in the specialty.
They will participate in the training of early careers and Trainee Pharmacists will be encouraged to develop their management and mentoring skills.
