Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our award winning team. Our priority is to find an enthusiastic and well-motivated team member to complement our friendly, dynamic, busy forward-thinking team. The post holder will join our admin team based at Rotherham Community Health Centre in a full time role. The service operates between 8am-6pm Monday-Friday however a flexible working pattern can be accommodated and agreed with the post holder on appointment. The post-holder will need to work autonomously helping support delivery of a multi-disciplinary team of patient facing health professionals. The role will involve a range of clinical support roles including registration of referrals, managing appointments for service users using a computerised patient management system, dealing with telephone enquiries with hearing impaired service users and helping support the provision of our national training courses with monitoring and dealing with customer queries regarding training sessions. The role may also involve some reception roles.
Main duties of the job
Take telephone call requests as part of wider admin team to support service users for a busy out-patient departmentManage appointments for clinical sessions in close liaison with the clinical team, whilst ensuring clinical breaches are avoidedTriage, accept and manage referrals for registration onto SystmOne Patient Management SystemContact patients and inform them of cancelled/changed appointmentsRequest translators and patient transport for patients using the service according to needs/ barriers to understanding.Prepare records for medical records when requestedPrepare outpatient appointment letters and deal with any associated telephone enquiriesMonitor email inbox requests for information regarding training services we provideHelp support clinical team in setting up training sessionsProvide cover for other members of the administration teamSupporting the team in the absence of other colleagues
