Job summary

Full time, permanent position

We have an exciting opportunity for a prescription coordinator to join our team.

The role involves processing calls from patients for repeat prescriptions for appliances for continence and stoma and liaising with our team of specialist nurses, staff nurses, support workers, dispensing appliance contractors and pharmacies. We offer a high quality of care to our patients, the patients are at the heart of the service.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role is answering calls to our patients and processing their repeat prescription requests ensuring a high quality of care and to ensure the patient is not having any issues then if required liaising directly with the specialist nurses.

The role will also involve liaising directly with other stake holders such as dispensing appliance contractors and pharmacies.

This role would suit a dynamic individual who will embrace change and ideally would have prescription coordinator experience.

The main computer system is SystmOne, which is used for the repeat templates, new referrals and administration duties, as well as using emails, Microsoft word and excel. We expect excellent customer care skills and maintaining confidentiality and date protection at all times.
