The Rotherham NHS Foundation
Trust (TRFT) is at the forefront of developing innovative integrated services
with our partners across Rotherham and South Yorkshire. As Care Group General Manager you will have a key role in leading Care group 4 and shaping the future of how
the Trust operates and delivers services.
The Trust seeks to appoint a
new General Manager on a fixed term/secondment basis which incorporates a range
of community services. As one of our
team of four General Managers you will be responsible for leading the operational
performance and strategy in the Care Group, prioritising the clinical and care
needs of the Trusts patients and their families.
You will help to provide
effective leadership and contribute to the corporate leadership and strategy
influencing the wider health community and organisational agenda.
You may already be an
operational Leader who is ready to take the next step and someone who has a
track record of delivering.
You will be someone who can
lead, motivate and engage staff as they strive to provide exceptional standards
of patient care. As someone who is capable of working closely with colleagues
of all professions, you will promote an organisational culture that facilitates
teamwork in the design, management and delivery of clinical services. You will
bring proven experience of service innovation and the commitment to patients.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to appoint a
values based leader that will contribute to the on going success of Care Group
4 developing services for the future and recognising the ambition of moving
care closer to home as part of the plan for the NHS moving forward.
This post has the overall management responsibility for the
delivery of a high quality, clinically effective and cost efficient service for
the Community, Therapies, Dietetics & Imaging
care group (Care group 4).
1.
To be responsible for the effective day to day
operational management of the Care group.
2.
To establish a framework for operational management
of the Care group that includes providing robust systems and processes for the
management of services at a local level within the Care Group, ensuring support
and direction for the operational service manager(s) and team(s).
3.
To support the Care Group Director and provide a
visible presence of Senior Management throughout the Care Group.
4.
To devise, agree and implement Rotherham NHS
Foundation Trust (TRFT) development plans and other initiatives to ensure
service objectives are met;

To ensure high standards of patient care, develop
integrated systems throughout the Care group across hospital and community care
aimed at improving the quality of services and meeting clinical and corporate
governance standards.

To ensure financial and budgeting requirements are
met, including cost saving and cost efficiency targets;

To develop and implement cost savings schemes, both
through service modernisation and cash releasing schemes;
