Job summary

We are looking to appoint a Lead Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Band 8B) within The Rotherham NHS Trust to strategically lead service development, provide supervision, performance management, and professional development for ACPs. The post holder will also lead recruitment and ensure workforce compliance and readiness.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in Advanced Clinical practice and a passion for leading service development, workforce planning, and innovation in roles. Within TRFT we have established multi-disciplinary ACP workforce and we are passionate about establishing an exemplary commitment to the growth and development of this group of staff. The post holder will have a demonstrable clinical portfolio that evidences clinical skills equivalent to that of a senior clinical member of staff.

The successful applicant with be an established leader able to demonstrate success in service design and delivery. They will already be at Advance Clinical practitioner level in an established service. The successful applicant must have completed a full MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice and have consolidated fully academically and clinically.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for strategic leadership of the ACP workforce which includes delivering yearly appraisal and Clinical Academic Support Panel.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the leadership and strategic development, across the Trust as well as supporting educational supervisors and engaging directly with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) for the delivery of academic modules.

The successful applicant must have an in-depth understanding of the advanced practice apprenticeship. They must also engage fully with Health Education England and support any future relevant curriculums and credentials that are released. They must also be heavily involved in service development of all areas concentrating around patient safety, experience, efficiency and effectiveness aspects involving care.

The successful applicant will engage fully with advanced practitioners and leadership teams across the Trust and sit on the Countywide Faculty for Enhanced and Advanced Practice (FEAP).
