Job summary

Exciting new oportunity avaliable in pre assessment to come and work within the term on a secondment for a year. As a Healthcare Support worker you will be responsible for supporting the nursing team in ensuring that our service users needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care. As a centre of excellence, you will offer a person-centred approach to their independence and well-being. You will be the first point of care for the service users pathway and will gain information to pass onto the team that you will work with.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for obtaining information from the services users and recording this information to aid the service users pathway. You will be responsible for completing of observations and venepuncture amongst other tasks involved in this role. Maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures. Ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, you will motivate colleagues, champion service user safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement. Be able to work in a fast paced environment this unit has a high turnover of service users.

  • Completion of a clinical skills competency based workbook or equivalent relevant experience to vocational qualification level 3, or willingness to undertake
  • GCSE Maths & English or qualified to equivalent Functional skills level 2 in Maths & English, or willingness to undertake
