16 hours per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our small team of Anticoagulation Nurse Specialists, helping us to provide exceptional patient-centred care in an Outpatient setting.

You will work within our specialist service playing a crucial role in providing a specialist advisory and educational service to health care professionals, patients and carers to ensure the on-going safety of patients receiving Anticoagulation Therapy.

Main duties of the job

To work in partnership with the Anticoagulation Nurse Specialists and Lead Haematology Consultants in providing specialised evidence based care in accordance with the clinical management plan as directed from the ACNS assessment.

To work independently managing a caseload of new referrals to the service and the ongoing safe management of patients who have been prescribed Anticoagulants.

You should demonstrate excellent communication skills with colleagues, patients and carers as this is the main focus of the post.

You will need to be flexible in your approach to Anticoagulation whilst working within set parameters and be able to make decisions quickly whilst championing service user safety.
