This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Gynaecology department at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking an experienced Nurse Colposcopist to join our team. As a qualified Nurse Colposcopist you will work autonomously and undertake an independent practitioner led diagnostic and therapeutic role using your highly advanced clinical judgement. This role includes, facilitating, enabling, and supporting the development of this service, based on best practice ensuring delivery of high quality, compassionate, effective and efficient care within the colposcopy service.

Main duties of the job

As a registered Colposcopist Nurse you would be expected to work alongside the consultant and other nurse colposcopists, secretarial and clerical staff in the provision of a colposcopy service within the Trust. This would be in accordance with the BSCCP/NHSCSP guidelines ensuring all people with a cervix attending colposcopy clinics experience an efficient, equitable, quality service.

Degree level nursing or equivalent experience
Evidence of continuous professional development supplemented by highly specialist training to masters level

In-depth knowledge of national standards relating to colposcopy and the NHS Cervical screening programme
