Apprentice Clerical Officer / Receptionist

Job summary

This new role for an Apprentice Administrator, which is an exciting opportunity to see how administration is a key part of the NHS. The role is based across 2 sites Park Rehabilitation Centre and Rotherham General Hospital working as part of Therapies & Dietetics Department, supporting MSK/Orthopaedic Physiotherapy, Neurological Conditions, Speech and Language, among other Allied Health Professionals, this post would suit someone with administration abilities and would like the opportunity to learn and develop new skills. Main duties of the job

The main responsibilities for this role will be as the initial point of contact for patients and staff, on the busy reception which can be a rapidly changing environment at both sites. You will learn skills for planning and prioritising your workloads, and learn how to maintain high levels of customer service at all times, ensuring that service users have a positive experience at point of contact. Communicating with people in an appropriate manner to ensure a level of understanding incorporating preferred ways of communication for all cultures and backgrounds providing inclusivity for all You will be responding to emails and telephone calls to answers which will help you develop strong written and oral communication with the ability to handle pressurised situations calmly with empathy and professionalism, whilst dealing with face to face contact with service users following agreed processes We use various IT systems such as SystmOne, Sepia, PTS, ESR all these systems enable us to process referrals, book appointments, organise patient transport and arrange interpreters
