Are you someone who likes problem solving and has a keen eye for detail? We are looking to recruit a part-time Waiting List & Validation Co-Ordinator to join the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department within Care Group 3 based at the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.
You will be responsible for supporting the Directorate in delivering key performance targets by facilitating the proactive management and validation of patient pathways against Referral to Treatment (RTT) and diagnostic performance targets.
This role would suit someone who is thorough in their approach to work. You will work closely with the Service Managers and Service Support Managers in Care Group 3 and liaise with medical secretaries, theatre schedulers and clinical staff.
It is essential that the successful candidate has excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel and also knowledge of 18 week Referral to Treatment pathways. Knowledge of Meditech and SystmOne would be an advantage.
It is important you have good communication skills and can work on your own initiative. Good planning and organisational skills are key for this role.

Main duties of the job
You will be part team of 3 waiting list and validation co-ordinators whose job role includes:
- The production of weekly waiting lists with accurate up-to-date information
- Tracking patients pathways on the 18 weeks RTT PTL and the cancer PTL.
- Producing/circulating validating weekly and monthly reports within the division and from other NHS organisations.
- To verify and update accurately patient data by cross checking information from a range of resources from patients letters to patient outcome summaries, so that error free records can be used as a reliable source of information.
- Booking obstetric theatre procedures under the guidance of clinicians.
- Assisting clinicians/medical staff with RTT pathway issues
- Liaising with a variety of staff including clinicians, managers and administration staff on a daily basis.
