Job summary

Part time - 28.50 hours per week.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 staff nurse to join our small, friendly nursing team.

B11 is a very busy ward caring for pregnant patients up to 20 weeks gestation as well as post-operative patients undergoing both Gynaecology and Breast surgery, covering both emergency and elective admissions. We are also continuing to develop our Same Day Emergency Care service, to provide women with a seamless quality journey whilst with us. The post offers exciting opportunities and may include rotation to other services within the Gynaecology department, including working on the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit and within the Pregnancy Advisory Service

Main duties of the job

This post would suit a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic individual with a specific interest in women's health. The pace is fast, so efficient admission and discharge planning is a priority. You must possess excellent and effective communication skills for dealing with complex and sensitive issues.
