Job summary

37.5 hours per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious and motivated qualified registered Pharmacy Technician (or able to register within 2025) who is keen to develop their skills further to join our busy Pharmacy team at the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust

The successful candidate will be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC and we will consider applicants who have evidence of the near completion of the registration process.

The role focuses on Medicines Optimisation, Dispensary/Clinical trials and Aseptic dispensing.

We are fully automated with Meditech and EPMA systems, dispensing robot and have imminent new developments, the successful candidate will be an essential part of this.

We are forward thinking, and encourage our Pharmacy Technicians to learn and obtain further relevant qualifications, in addition to undertaking a nationally recognised accredited accuracy-checking course.

Main duties of the job

  • Working with members of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Undertake training for medicines management, dispensary/clinical trials and Aseptic
  • Dispensing both at ward level, aseptic unit and in the pharmacy department
  • Maintain and participate in monitoring of equipment
  • Ensuring medicines are in the right place at the right time
  • Undertake training and validations
