Dental Nurse

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and supportive Orthodontic / Oral maxillofacial team. You must be able to demonstrate good communication skills and be able to work well within a team environment. You will be responsible for providing high standards of preventative oral health education and pre and post-operative support to a wide variety of patients. Main duties of the job

To assist and prepare the environment for pre and post-operative procedures.Maintain total decontamination/cross infection procedure during treatment.Give detailed Oral Hygiene/Post-operative instructions after treatment.Support the day to day maintenance of the Surgerys equipment.To support an environment that promotes excellence in nursing practice and development of high levels of clinical skills.To support the band 5 in re-allocation of clinic slots where appropriateTo assist other professional colleagues, helping them to develop their professional competence, and assist others in the care team.Order supplies to ensure the clinic runs efficiently, consideration must be taken to ensure the departmental budget are maintained and where possible savings must be sortTo assist and support the mentorship of trainee members of the team.Continuing professional development through clinical governance and training programmes.Ensure that all incidents and complaints are reported in a timely manner.
