Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Dietitian to provide clinical leadership for the Nutrition and Dietetic Service following the retirement of the current post holder. The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust Nutrition and Dietetic Service provides Dietetic Care and support for adult and paediatric patients in both acute and community settings and successfully manages the Nutritional Prescribing Service for both acute and primary care across Rotherham. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to gain leadership experience at a senior level and to represent the trust at local and regional Nutrition and Dietetic forums/meetings. The role will also provide the opportunity to work in partnership with leadership colleagues including but not exclusively Senior Management teams within the Community Care Group, Trust, GPs, Consultants, Commissioners, Nursing, referring hospitals, Universities and voluntary agencies. The ability to work with these teams and represent dietetics is essential.

Main duties of the job

To be successful you will be an experienced Dietitian who

  • Displays energy and passion in the pursuit of service excellence and delivery of a positive patient experience
  • Can support the Nutrition and Dietetic Service to meet challenging targets and objectives
  • Can evidence up to date relevant dietetic clinical experience and skills
  • Has a commitment to developing the professional and clinical skills of others
  • Can evidence the ability to initiate and implement service developments
  • Demonstrates an understanding of current NHS agenda and its impact on clinical, professional and business requirements
The job plan for the role has the option of up to two clinical session per week. The successful candidate will receive regular supervision and be part of a supportive clinical leadership team.
