Job summary

We are seeking to appoint RGNs as Specialist Nurse Practitioners, with the District Nursing qualification, to join the Rotherham Community Health Service. Interested candidates must have the Community Specialist Practitioners Degree District Nursing or expect to successfully complete this year. Please ensure you read the attached job description and person specification to ensure you meet the essential requirements for this position before submitting your application. You must be able to manage a caseload, lead a team and provide a high standard of nursing care. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills. Nurse Prescribing and teaching qualifications would be advantageous although not essential. As a District Nurse you will be responsible for supporting your team to deliver high quality patient care, utilising results from clinical audit to support you to do this. We are seeking pro-active practitioners who will embrace case management and the challenges posed by the current political climate. Main duties of the job

The post holder will support the Locality Lead Nurse as required, across a range of duties and deputise in his/her absence as appropriate within the grading of this post The post holder will have continuing responsibility for overall management of a clinical caseload and be responsible for the leadership and management of a nursing team in the provision of a high quality, clinically effective District Nursing Service. Contribute towards the continual development of the District nursing service and integrated Health and Social Care Service by attending planning groups and working parties as appropriate and by ensuring that high standards of clinical practice are maintained and monitored
