Job summary
We are looking for a motivated and dedicated person. Are you the enthusiastic and energetic person that we are looking for? This could be an excellent opportunity for you to join to join the Patient Experience Team as a Welcome Desk Receptionist. This is an opportunity to provide a professional welcoming, efficient reception and information service to the Hospital, acting as the public face for The Rotherham. Maintain effective communication to both patients, relatives and staff in order to ensure the smooth running of the service; enhancing patient care. Ensure the professional image of the Trust is maintained at all times. There will be a requirement to learn the patient administration systems. Working hours are Wednesdays 10am to 4pm due to the needs of the service, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 2hrs 30 minutes to cover lunch break (ie 11am to 2.30pm) to be agreed. Flexibility for cover during annual leave essential.
Main duties of the job
To form part of a front of house team, responsible for providing an effective efficient reception service. To create and sustain a first class environment for patients and visitors to the Trust. To receive members of the public in a polite and professional manner. To provide a welcoming flexible and efficient reception and information service. Facilitate the smooth running clinics by liaising with Medical and Nursing staff where necessary. Booking in and out of outpatients clinics To provide a floor walking welcome service as and when appropriate Ensure enquiries via telephone and in person are dealt with promptly professional, sympathetic and efficient manner. Assist patients checking into clinics either via reception of Touch Screens Re-imbursement of travel costs to patients whilst in or attending the hospital Renewal of bus passes for staff members Re-imbursement / validation of car parking tickets
