We are seeking an Admin Team Leader with relevant admin and leadership experience to join the Children and Young Peoples service. The post holder must be creative and motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate and lead the admin team.

The post holder be responsible for the day-to-day support and supervision of administration colleagues to ensure excellent administrative support is provided to the clinical team .The post holder will act with autonomy to management of the administration staff within their remit. You will lead and mentor the administration team to ensure an excellent level of customer service. The post holder will be expected to form strong working relationships with the Management Team, Clinical Leads and liaise closely with patients, carers, GP's and other external Trusts.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide team leadership and day to day management to the admin team and the ensuring all key tasks (as outlined within individual job descriptions) are completed, enabling achievement of agreed quality and KPI targets for services within CYPS.
  • Ensure that the admin team provides a high standard of customer care, promoting, adapting and sharing best practice between the team and other departments
  • To oversee, manage, be responsible for all aspects of administration, within Children & Young Peoples Services, Family Health Directorate.
  • To provide management cover for other Admin Team Leaders, within CYPS, as required.
  • To ensure that the team workforce is adequately covered at all times, to negate risk and to deliver a high-quality service.
  • To support the Service Support Manager in the operational management of the CYPS services
  • To ensure the Medical Staff Rota is maintained in the absence of the Rota Co-ordinator
  • To be able to analyse and interpret data and highlight potential areas of discrepancy
  • To regularly supervise and appraise staff within the team. This will be on a day-to-day basis and in regular formal supervision.
  • To assist with the implementation of the 18 week pathway and providing a validation service for Paediatric services, completing validation of 18 week reports in order to track patients through their pathways whilst liaising with Health record and Admission Teams, Consultant/ Medical and Nursing staff, and Care Group managers.
