Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust Radiology department. We are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated Radiographers to join our exceptional General Departmental team. All applicants must hold a DCR or BSc in Diagnostic Radiography (or be working towards) and be registered with the HCPC. The successful candidate will participate in the departmental shift patterns, which cover 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and be able to display a flexible approach to these working patterns. There is an opportunity to train in CT heads/necks. Training will be given for this during the induction period. The department is 100% Digital and comprises of 4 DR x-ray rooms, 4 DR mobiles, 1 fluoroscopy room, 1 dental room, 3 image intensifiers. We offer experience in frontline Radiography, in a busy department, across a range of specialties and case mix. This is an ideal opportunity to develop your Radiographic skills in a friendly, forward thinking and modern department. We also offer an induction period within the department with support from a dedicated and approachable Senior/Management team.

Main duties of the job

To carry out all required imaging examinations, ensuring policies and protocols are closely followed.

To work as part of the Clinical Radiology team, providing a high quality service.

To maintain a high degree of professionalism with other Healthcare workers and ensure excellent communication skills with both Staff and Patients.

To participate in 7/7 working covering out of hours and sickness.

Working closely under the direction of the Radiology Professional Lead.

Ensure that CPD is up to date, in line with HCPC recommendations and support departmental Quality Improvement initiatives.

Participate in multi professional audit.

The department actively supports training opportunities.
