Rotherham Sexual Health Service

Band 3 Health Care Support Worker

Part Time 13.5 hours

Fixed term 12 months

We are looking to recruit a part- time enthusiastic, experienced and flexible Healthcare Support Worker to assist the multi-disciplinary team in delivering our Sexual Health Service. The post is to support the roll out of additional screening and pathway development for service users who are identified as potentially misusing substances.

You will be based at our clinic at the Rotherham Hospital Central site, though there may be times when you will be required to work at our other sites across the service. You will provide Sexual Health Screening to our patients, chaperone members of our clinical team, and assist with a variety of clinical procedures; including microscopy and phlebotomy.

  • The successful candidate will be flexible to meet the needs of the service opening hours are Monday to Saturday, incorporating four late evenings until 7.30pm.

Main duties of the job

To carry out assigned tasks within the Rotherham Sexual Health Services involving direct patient care including newly acquired clinical skills, in support of the Registered General Nurse to enable him/her to maintain maximum patient contact. May be required to work flexibly in Rotherham Sexual Health Services and outreach clinics.
