Main duties of the job

- Maintenance and Repairs - Conduct inspections, tests, repairs, and installations on Trust property, plant, and infrastructure.

- Work Order Management - Efficiently complete allocated work orders, updating the Trust CAFM system promptly.

- Workload Management - Organise and coordinate your own workload, as well as that of assigned trade staff.

- Fault Reporting - Identify and report faults discovered during routine checks, planned preventative maintenance, or daily operations.

- Procurement - Source and obtain necessary parts and equipment for designated work, adhering to Trust financial guidelines.

- Technical Troubleshooting - Investigate technical failures, identify appropriate repairs, and ensure ongoing reliability and compliance.

- Technical Support - Participate in the Estates escalation process and provide technical assistance to other estate staff as needed.

  • Apprentice trained tradesperson with ONC/BTEC
  • or
  • HNC Equivalent in building or relevant engineering building services.
  • (Applicants with appropriate trade qualifications that can demonstrate that they have worked in a similar multi-skilled post for at least 5 years may be considered.)

Knowledge

Desirable

  • Equivalent level of knowledge acquired without formal course of study
  • Theoretical and practical e.g. develops data bases and reporting systems
  • Professional, technical, specialist
  • Policies, practices and procedures e.g. NHS national policies, standards, requirements and directions that relate to measuring and improving the quality and safety of patient care
