We aim to be an outstanding Trust and we are enthusiastic about the importance of giving the highest possible quality of care to our Patients. We also care for each other as Colleagues and for the community, our resources, our environment and our future.

The Pharmacy Department at Rotherham Hospital is looking to recruit an exceptional individual to lead a great team as their new Chief Pharmacist. The successful applicant will work with Colleagues in Pharmacy and more widely with Trust colleagues and system partners. Building on a strong foundation, a new refurbished department, integrated digital systems and respect across the Trust, region and nationally for some of the initiatives undertaken at Rotherham, the successful candidate will seek to take the Pharmacy service to the next level. The post holder will also be the Controlled Drugs Accountable Officer for the Trust.

This is a high-profile role in the organisation and regionally so extensive experience of high-level working is required. Supported by an established Senior Team in Pharmacy and the care group leadership team, the post holder will contribute strongly to the delivery of budgetary balance, medicines savings, business planning and performance, paying particular attention to the opportunities that arise to develop the service. The successful applicant must have an advanced understanding of Pharmacy rules and regulations, have a passion for developing teams and services and have significant experience of managing people. This is an exciting time to be joining us as we develop our clinical services, workforce, technical service and digital systems further in the organisation, in the care system and regionally in Yorkshire and the Humber - this is an opportunity for a talented individual to make their mark.

Interviews will take place on Wednesday 21st August 2024.
