We would like to invite you to join our outpatients therapy services in this newly created role at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Physiotherapist to join our Consultant General Team based at Rotherham General Hospital.

You will be responsible for providing high quality physiotherapy assessment and treatment, of outpatients with spinal and upper limb peripheral pathologies, including complex orthopaedic, musculoskeletal and rheumatology conditions to maintain a broad skill mix and experience.

The successful applicant will also have:

  • Current HCPC registration
  • Be able to travel independently across the county and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes
  • Experience of teaching / mentoring staff / students
  • Valid work permit or be eligible to work within the UK
  • Experience of electronic patient records would also be advantageous

Main duties of the job

You will manage your patients in 1:1 settings yourself or by a support worker that you have transferred their care to.

We also have general and specialised exercise/rehabilitation classes that you will be involved in the running of. Part of this role will include the provision of hydrotherapy to Orthopaedic/MSK/Rheumatology patients at the Park Centre Badsley Moor Lane.

You must have a broad range of postgraduate experience and personal development, including recent work within the musculoskeletal / orthopaedic specialities, and be committed to delivering high quality patient centred care.

At the Rotherham Foundation Trust, we actively support and encourage continuous professional development. This is through in-house, external training and supervision.

Along with your own personal development, an important part of the role will be to provide support, direction and training to other members of the respective Therapy Services Team including Physiotherapists, Therapy Support staff and Physiotherapy Students from the local area.

  • Post graduate experience in the treatment and management of post-operative upper limb, hip and spinal conditions.
  • Evidence of post graduate qualification relevant to neuromusculoskeletal / orthopaedic physiotherapy.
  • Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the county and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Desirable

  • Membership of Professional body - Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
