The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust Pharmacy Department is seeking an exceptional candidate to join the team as an apprentice pre-registration Pharmacy Technician. If you have a keen interest in maths and science and wish to undertake further studies, and you would like the opportunity to work towards a Level 3 in Pharmacy Service Skills and qualify as a Pharmacy Technician. You may be interested in a two year apprenticeship style training scheme which is available at the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.

Successful candidates will attend College on a day release basis to undertake a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science or current registrable equivalent whilst training in the workplace 4 days per week to obtain and prove competence in the Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills.
Main duties of the job
The post offers 2 years comprehensive training in all aspects of Pharmacy services on a rotational basis.
Individuals will need to be highly organised and motivated and be capable of meeting multiple deadlines. We will expect applicants to have an understanding of the role of a Pharmacy Technician.
Students who successfully complete the 2 year course and associated study will be eligible to register as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
To be eligible for consideration for a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician interview, you must meet all essential criteria and have:
- 4 GCSEs at Grade 4 or grade C or above (or equivalent*), including English, Maths and double Science*
- Applicants MUST have the required minimum qualifications and will be asked to bring original certificates to interview (predicted grades for school leavers on official letter headed school/ college paper).
