Voluntary Services have a new exciting ward support role.

A3 is a 33 bed respiratory ward caring for patients with respiratory conditions; but also care for general medicine patients too. The ward strive to deliver a high quality of person centred care.

The times are - Mon Sun AM, PM and EVE

Main duties of the job

Take samples to labs
Collect and take to pharmacy
Welcome patients and visitors to the ward
Give out hand wipes and ensure bed table clean
Assist with meals and drinks
Encourage patients to eat and drink not to assist with eating and drinking
Support end of life patient and their family
Sit and chat with patients
Reassure patients and relatives
Sit and read/do jigsaw etc. with patients
Answer telephone
General tidy up
Collect and take back equipment to the equipment library
Making beds
