An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Admin Team Leader to join the Division of Medicine on Ward A6 at The Rotherham Foundation Trust Hospital. You will provide a vital and dynamic Team Leader role and will manage and develop a responsive administration service having responsibility for the day-to-day management of the team including annual appraisals, annual leave, sickness management and adherence to the Trust HR policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about the challenges of a busy working and constantly changing environment, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and to achieve strict deadlines. You will be a highly motivated individual, with the ability to motivate and influence others, suggest and implement ideas to improve team performance and efficiency and will have excellent communication skills.
Main duties of the job
- Promoting data quality processes and a right first time approach
- Responsible for day to day line management of administration staff such as approving timesheets, recruitment and selection, to ensure working environments comply with health & safety legislation, staff inductions, annual leave, rota management and general day to day staff management as needed.
- To motivate colleagues and champion service improvement for the division
- Support the Service Support Manager and Service Manager with the recruitment of new staff including the design of job descriptions and person specifications, the creation of attractive adverts, short listing and the design of effective selection processes to secure the best staff available. Ensure each direct report receives an annual Trust values based appraisal.
- Approve and record Leave request for direct reports.
- Create and embed a clear and comprehensive modular induction training programme for all new staff to include key competencies that each new member of staff must attain and be assessed against before their induction is considered complete.
- Data Quality management and report response, highlighting key themes and ensuring any training needs are addressed.
- Maintain accurate Mandatory Training records within the ESR system, ensuring all staff maintain 100% compliance by planning refresher training in advance of the expiry date for their previous training.
