Main duties of the job
This role will involve both clinical and academic training, supported by TRFT as your employer and our chosen HEE accredited Higher Education Institute. As this is an apprenticeship programme much of your learning and training will be achieved in the workplace as an integrated part of the clinical workforce.As a Trainee ACP you will work as part of our multi-professional workforce providing direct clinical care, assessing and diagnosing patients as well as implementing and evaluating treatment and interventions. You will be supported to work towards being an autonomous practitioner across all four pillars of advanced practice and demonstrating the capabilities of the Multi-Professional Advanced Practice Framework (HEE 2017).Successful completion of training includes the completion of an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice, achievement of specialty capability frameworks and demonstration of advanced level practice in leadership, research and education as well as direct clinical practice.GCSE Maths and English is not essential. Successful candidates without GCSE Maths & English will be required to complete a functional skills programme prior to the end of the apprenticeship.We are committed to supporting flexible working including part time hours however as part of the apprentice standard, the minimum contracted hours allowable are 30 hours per week.Candidates are encouraged to discuss the post with the named recruitment lead and an informal visit can be arranged.
