22.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Paediatric Education Team at The Rotherham Foundation Trust.

This is a great opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about supporting staff in practice and interested in furthering their career in Practice Education and development within Paediatric services including inpatient ward areas and our Urgent and Critical Care Centre (UECC).

The successful individual will need to be passionate about practice education and work-based learning. You will need to adapt to change and have ability to communicate to a very high standard in complex and dynamic environments.

You will need to have a mentor/practice assessor qualification and demonstrate evidence of supporting learning in practice. You will also need to have experience assessing staff and giving feedback to support development.

This post will give an individual the opportunity to develop personally and professionally with a high level of support. There will be an opportunity to lead on new initiatives which will enhance education in practice. Main duties of the job

The post holder will develop nursing practice within Paediatrics within the organisation through educational leadership, promoting and facilitating high standards of professional practice, competency and patient focused care. The role encompasses the co-ordination and development of training and education programmes based on the needs of staff and service delivery. The post holder will foster a learning culture which values high quality patient care, working in partnership with the matron, ward managers and team leaders to ensure that goals and outcomes are achieved.
