We are excited to announce Active Together is coming to Rotherham. It is a Prehabilitation and Rehabilitation Service funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research to improve outcomes for Cancer patients. Active Together has already been implemented in Sheffield and several other centres and proven very successful.

As a new service you will be instrumental in the development and implementation delivery and evaluation of best practice for Active Together Service for Rotherham.

An exciting new Band 7 Specialist Dietitian Advanced role has been created to be part of the Multidisciplinary Team.

This post is working over 4 days a week on a 2 year contract, with a possible extension to 5 years. You will be joining a 34 strong, exceptionally friendly, award winning Dietetic team with excellent admin support.

We are a fully integrated service delivering services across Rotherham in both Primary and Secondary Care.

You will be working closely with our Lead for Cancer Services and your base will at the Park Rehabilitation Centre, alongside an excellent team of Physiotherapists.

You will also be working with the wider Multidisciplinary Team of Psychologist, Cancer Nurse Specialists and Surgical and Medical Consultants.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an exceptionally enthusiastic, proactive Dietitian who has excellent communication and organisational skills, audit and research skills and a sound understanding of qualitative and quantitative improvements, patient clinical pathways and patient administrative processes.

Should be able to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work under pressure.

The job also involves working closely with the Active Together teams within the South Yorkshire ICB.

  • Extensive post registration dietetic experience with demonstrable experience at senior grade working within a cancer or nutrition support speciality.
  • Demonstrable dietetic experience.
  • Student Clinical Educators Training.
  • Attainment of validated post registration qualification at masters level in nutritional support i.e. PEN clinical update.
  • Involvement with Student Training.
