Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Receptionist/ward clerk 15 hours to join the team on the SURGSDEC (surgical same day emergency care and acute surgical unit).We are seeking to appoint a motivated and dynamic Ward Clerk to support the multidisciplinary team. The applicant will be expected to be able to work as part of a team, manage their own time and prioritise workload effectively.The role requires good communication and interpersonal skills with good IT skills.
Main duties of the job
This Ward Clerk /Receptionist role provides the first point of contact to patients attending the unit from G.P and from UECC (Urgent and emergency care centre). You will provide administration support for the activity within the busy assessment area and support the medical and nursing staff in ensuring that patients attending have a positive experience.The main duties include: Greet all visitors to the ward in a helpful and polite manner Assist with all enquiries as possible Maintain accurate admission, transfer and discharge information
