An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, hardworking, and enthusiastic Registered Childrens Nurse to join our established team. Experience in an Emergency department would be preferable but not essential.
Working in an Emergency Care setting can be a challenging but rewarding clinical environment and we will ensure that you will be supported through a wide range of learning opportunities which includes a supportive induction and support programme which will continue throughout your time in Urgent and Emergency Care Centre.
As an Emergency Department we are committed to providing high quality care within a demanding service by ensuring our nursing team are proactive and have additional clinical skills to provide individualised patient care for the whole range of presenting conditions. The Paediatric Nursing UECC team have just joined the Division of Family Health which is exciting period of time but also will ensure a close and supportive relationships with the childrens inpatients areas and the community childrens nursing team and also the wider division of family health including the 0-19 service and maternity services. We have a commitment clinical educator team who will provide support and guidance and facilitate on -going training and completion of relevant Paediatric competencies.
Main duties of the job
Successful applicants should have good communication skills and enjoy working in a swiftly changing and challenging environment. You will be required to work as part of a motivated team as well as being able to work on own initiative. Opportunities exist to develop personal practice and gain experience in all aspects of emergency care.
