Main duties of the job
The Delivery and Improvement Managers sit within the Delivery and Improvement Team. The core role of the Delivery and Improvement Project Managers is to support the organisation is the delivery of its various service improvement work, efficiency agenda, project and programmes and wider change work. This support will be provided across three main areas:
Provide drive, energy, and general enthusiasm, engaging with delivery teams to get their buy in to the work.
Provide the tools and techniques (formal and informal) to support the effective delivery of change, working with the delivery teams to implement the right tools at the right time so that work is structured, organised and assured in a way that supports effective delivery.
Provide hands on capacity to the delivery team, helping them to get the work done, while maintaining local accountability and responsibility.
Across the Delivery and Improvement Team the whole team will provide a core service to the improvement work to which they are allocated. However, all project managers will be expected to bring specialist skills and areas of interest (i.e. finance, operational management, clinical, information etc) and actively work with and utilise the varied skills across the team (and the wider Trust) to better deliver their own objectives.
