Health Care Support Worker
Child Development Centre
We are looking for an enthusiastic Health Care Assistant to join our multi-disciplinary team at the Child Development Centre (CDC). This is a waiting list initiative to improve families access to the service and to provide support through the assessment process. This is a fixed term post until March 2025.Based in Kimberworth Place the CDC provides assessment and intervention for children aged 0-5 years at the point of referral who have differences in one or more areas of their development. You will join a multi-disciplinary team working in Kimberworth Place and support the children and families to access their clinic appointments. All clinics run Monday to Friday morning or afternoon.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a team or individually.

Main duties of the job
- Taking into account the individual needs and wishes of patients and families and needs for privacy/dignity
- To support the smooth running of CDC clinics.
- To provide information before and after clinic regarding the children attending and to make observations as required.
- To update admin team and childs record of clinic outcomes.
- Will provide assessment support as directed by senior staff Will assist parents in providing basic care needs for their child Will assist medical and therapy staff providing a chaperone for patients as required
- To participate in the running of an interagency nursery assessment group for children with complex development needs, as directed by clinical staff
- Will assist with collection of height and weight data Will assist in maintaining a clean and tidy environment
