CARDIAC PHYSIOLOGY SERVICEPart Time 0.5WTE 19hours per week (2 days 8:00am-6:00pm)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our small, friendly team at Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and knowledgeable Adult Echocardiographer to join us. The team is progressive and specialises in adult Transthoracic, Contrast, Transoesophageal and Stress Echocardiography.
The Echocardiography Service at Rotherham is looking for a forward thinking individual to help shape the future of the department. The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate an excellent level of clinical competence and knowledge to deliver the training needs of the Trust. The post holder must be able to independently perform and report transthoracic echocardiograms to a very high standard in a wide range of clinical settings. Excellent communication and organisational skills are a necessity with the ability to work autonomously and act as a positive role model.
RCCP/ AHCS/HCPC registration and British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) Level 2 accreditation is expected but candidates near completion of their BSE logbook are encouraged to contact the department for further discussion.
Main duties of the job
To work as a Highly Specialised Cardiac Physiologist in Echocardiography, providing a high standard of professional practice. Independently performs and reports highly specialist echocardiography assessments. Works as part of a team and assists in the day-to-day coordination of the Cardiac Physiology service. Delivers education and training to other healthcare professionals
