Job summary
The Division of Therapies, Dietetics and Community Care are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, flexible, well rounded and suitably experienced person to take on the role of Governance Lead. The post holder will have a clinical background with previous experience and understanding of the governance role. As the governance lead you will be responsible for supporting staff across different specialities, providing advice, guidance and subject matter expertise on governance processes to all those involved in the leadership and delivery of clinical care.
You will join a dynamic team to provide strategic support, guidance and development of a robust clinical governance framework ensuring the delivery of best practise and quality standardised care across the community services.
Main duties of the job
Provide support and engage positively with clinical teams to support and develop good clinical practice and robust clinical governance through policy, processes, clinical audit and management of complaints
Establish good working relationships with the clinical practise educators looking at thematic reviews, themes and trends and identified learning needs
Promote a culture where clinical governance and patients safety are integrated care delivery
Contribute significantly to the service quality and governance agenda through joint working, training, audit and will work alongside the teams to embed practice linked to National Guidance.
Ensuring that effective clinical and quality governance, risk systems and processes are in place to ensure that we provide safe care. You will be involved in incident management, delivering and implementing quality and safety initiatives.
Provide support to and engage with patients, families and staff following a patient safety incident
