Job summary

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is an innovative, integrated healthcare organisation which continues to develop at pace. The Pharmacy Department has recently had two new dispensing robots installed alongside a complete refit of the department and a commitment to become a fully digital department to complement our existing EPMA system.

As a department we set high standards for the services we deliver. We aim to be outstanding and we are enthusiastic about delivering excellent care for our patients.

At this exciting time in our development we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed pharmacist to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within various different clinical areas including medicine, surgery, paediatrics, aseptics and oncology and to develop the clinical skills and knowledge required to deliver high level patient care at ward level. The successful applicant will need to be self-motivated, work effectively as part of a team, be enthusiastic and have excellent organisational and communication skills. The candidate will also share our vision to deliver high quality, evidence-based and cost-effective services for patients.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed pharmacist who is keen to develop their clinical skills and take the next step in their pharmacy career.

Ward based commitments will involve working with members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that patients receive high quality, cost-effective and patient centred care. This will involve ensuring medication is reconciled when patients are admitted to hospital, optimised during their stay and are clinically appropriate when they are discharged.

This is a full time position, working 37.5 hours a week, including on-call, late night, weekend and bank holiday working on a rota basis. If you are looking for a new challenge in a forward thinking pharmacy department we would be very interested in talking to you.
