Job summary

Are you passionate about data analysis, and making a positive impact on peoples lives? We are seeking someone who is highly motivated to join our dedicated NHS procurement team. As an NHS Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analysing complex procurement healthcare data, identifying trends, and generating valuable insights to support decision-making and improve patient outcomes. The role will have a strong focus on development. This unique role will also involve actively participating in the development of innovative solutions and applications that enhance healthcare services.

You will have the opportunity to leverage your analytical expertise and data-driven insights to enhance healthcare systems, drive improvements, and enable evidence-based decision-making.

The role will develop, maintain, and manage the systems and processes required to support the analysis of information, target monitoring and identification of improvement opportunities.

Main duties of the job

Work with members of the Procurement team to provide information, analysis, and summarised reporting of data to support procurement reviews of service areas and the use of goods and services.

Track, monitor and report progress against identified targets or specified spend areas on a regular basis.

Ensure robust validation of reports for scrutiny across the organisation.

Development of models and dashboard arrangements to illustrate historic spending trends, including detailed analysis of spend patterns and supplier activity.

Analysis of varied statistical data to assist in the contract and work planning processes of the Procurement team.

Collect, collate, evaluate, and present complex information and data in multiple and appropriate formats that may support any decision-making process.

Be responsible for the quality and validity of data presented through robust testing during the data collection and distribution process.

Be proficient and knowledgeable in the use of various information technology systems, including word, excel spreadsheets, multiple databases and systems as they emerge (internal and external) and any other relevant system that may be used to obtain and present data in an appropriate format.
