Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Specialist Surgery Laboratory team for a forward thinking, well-motivated Specialist Orthodontic Technician. This role is ideal for someone patient-centred and wanting to challenge themselves to providing the highest possible standards.
As a registered DCP (GDC) you will be working closely with team members to provide excellent Orthodontic technical work. The role requires the ability to produce dental models for a variety of treatments analog (gypsum) and digital (3D scanning) as well as all aspects of Orthodontic technology. They will also assist in the production of Prosthetic, Sleep apnoea, Bite Raising Appliances and supporting the Maxillofacial Prosthetic Clinics/Clinicians where appropriate.
The successful candidate will also possess good communication, interpersonal and administrative skills with the ability to multitask whilst constantly prioritising service needs. There will be an expectation for the individual to be the lead of the Orthodontic technical service, liaising with the Orthodontic clinical team and its clinics to ensure a harmonious working environment and effective patient service.

Working within own scope of practice, skills and knowledge to innovate solutions to complex Orthodontic patients

3D scanning
PAR Scoring
Orthognathic Model/Surgical Planning
Candidates will be required to carry out a practical assessment along with an interview. The practical assessment may run on a different day to the interview, and this will be arranged after shortlisting has been completed.
