22.5 Hours per week

A Vacancy has arisen within the Facilities for a Seamstress to join our team. We are looking for a motivated person with a positive attitude. Good communication skills are essential. The successful candidate must have previous Seamstress experience City and Guilds in Dressmaking or relevant industrial experience.

The successful candidate will be flexible to cover the demands of the service and be able to adapt to changes within the department and have the ability and initiative to learn new skills and work independently.

Candidates must be willing to work towards NVQ Level 2 Customer Service, and have basic IT knowledge. Must be reliable and be able to prioritise workload.

Main duties of the job

To meet the requirements of the post, the Seamstress will be expected to provide a high quality tailor service to staff working at the Trust and Community. Maintain the organisation of the sewing room including uniforms kept elsewhere. To keep accurate records of uniforms issued out and to place uniform orders via electronic systems. Liaise with uniform providers and take calls from staff requesting uniform fittings.

Stock check of the level of uniform on a quarterly basis completing stock sheet.
