The Rotherham Childrens Public Health Nursing Service are looking to recruit three enthusiastic and motivated practitioners with initiative and drive. Our 0-19 service delivers high quality public health nursing, promotes healthy lifestyles and improves health inequalities to children, young people and their families in Rotherham. You will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills, be willing to facilitate and support change in service delivery, have the ability to work autonomously and as part of an integrated skill mix team. We offer flexible and agile working options.
An induction programme will be provided for successful candidates to support their transition into the community and a competency package is available in order support you to deliver our service confidently and competently.

Main duties of the job
You will work within a skill mix team of Health Visitors, School Nurses, Community Nursery Nurses and Support Workers. You will have an important role in recognising and protecting vulnerable children and liaising with our partner agencies such as GPs, Schools, Social Care and the Police, providing seamless care to the families of Rotherham.
The successful candidates will work across the 0-19 service ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality services to a caseload of babies, children, young people and their families - using research-based evidence to inform practice. The post will require the Nursery Nurse to travel between homes, schools, and family hubs within the Rotherham area.
