Exciting developments has resulted in a Hybrid Support Secretary position becoming available. Hybrid roles in the secretarial arena are unique to Rotherham and to the division of General Medicine. The service has led this innovative approach and you could help to deliver this newly established role either from the Trust office or your home. You could be one of our 28 strong team who are able to truly adopt a fantastic work-life balance whilst supporting the patients and clinicians of Rotherham to access their health service.
Main duties of the job
- To answer patient calls and deal with general enquiries whilst having sound judgement on when to pass onto the Secretary of Senior Secretary for review of complex cases.
- To undertake the filing of letters and diagnostic results into patients case notes, following Health Records Guidelines
- To prepare letters and sort incoming & outgoing post for your service.
- To undertake for each speciality, the sorting and tracking of case notes, returning back to file.
- To locate and retrieve case notes, from various areas of the trust using the case note tracking system ensuring case notes are tracked on the computer system at all times
- To ensure all communication with patient care is prompt
- To undertake photocopying, faxing and scanning.
- To assist the team with correspondence, telephone or personal enquiries relating to the specialty when the need arises
- To obtain all nesessary documentation to assist in all aspects of conducting audits
- To uphold excellent standards in customer service
