Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated
individual, to join the Information Governance team at Rotherham General
Hospital as Information Governance Manager.
The successful applicant will be responsible
for contributing to the delivery of an operational Information Governance (IG)
assurance service, to provide evidence and assurance to the Senior Information
Risk Owner (SIRO), Caldicott Guardian, Data Protection Officer and Board of
Directors that the organisation remains demonstrably compliant with the
relevant Information Governance / Data Protection legislation.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve but is not limited to,
being responsible for assessing and then providing assurance of IG compliance
and implementation across the Trust, managing the day to day operational
enquiries from staff relating to IG / Data Protection and managing the Trusts
system for ensuring compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Maintaining a Record of Processing Activities
(ROPA) and liaising with and providing training to, Asset Owners.
Delivering face to face IG specific training
across the Trust estate including community sites (this may include travel).
The successful candidate will have and be
able to demonstrate:
* An understanding of the requirements of the
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA2018)
* An understanding of the Data Security and
Protection Toolkit (DSPTK)
* Excellent communication skills including
presentation delivery
* Excellent organisational skills
