We are looking for hard working and pro active Health Care Assistants to join our team working in Theatres at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.
We have 11 Operating Theatres covering a wide range of specialities; Orthopaedics/Orthopaedic Trauma, Urology, General surgery (including Breast surgery), Gynaecology, OMFS/ENT & Ophthalmology. We also have x1 emergency theatre which operates seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day.
As a HCA working within Theatres, you will support the team during operating procedures as well as playing a crucial role in the efficient turnaround of Theatres to maximise utilisation.
Main duties of the job
To work with supervision and guidance in providing and maintaining a high standard of patient care for those patients undergoing surgery. The post holder will be expected to undertake Peri-operative circulating duties and work as part of a multi-professional team. The post holder will also be required to collect patients from the ward, escort them to the anaesthetic room/theatre, providing comfort and support whilst maintaining respect, privacy and dignity and confidentiality
