An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic
individual to lead the Rotherham Critical Care team as a Band 7 Senior
Sister/Charge Nurse in the Critical Care Unit.
The successful candidate would be responsible for ensuring efficient
and effective management of the Critical Care Unit. The applicant will ensure
patients receive safe, individualised, effective standards of care. You will be
required to manage the skill mix of the nursing team and provide advice and
clinical leadership to support and develop the nursing team within the
department.
At Rotherham we are a 13 bedded Unit, which we use
flexibly to accommodate level 2 and 3 patients.
Main duties of the job
You will display leadership skills and qualities, along with effective
management for the nursing team in complex and pressurised situations. The Nurse Team Manager will be a visible and
strong role model providing leadership and direction to the Critical Care Team.
You will effectively manage the Critical Care unit at Rotherham
Hospital providing clinical expertise and leadership, whilst ensuring safe
staffing, clinical co-ordination of patient pathways, high standards of care
and patient safety and staff development.
The successful candidate must have managerial experience in ITU and
experience of effective leadership skills. They must hold Critical Care
Qualification and NMC Registration.
The successful candidate must have the ability to motivate staff in a
professional manner with the ability to lead the team and maintain high
standards of care.
Effective communication must be demonstrated at all
times, along with a calm manner in situations of extreme workload.
