Job summary

Rated Good by CQC in 2021, our Maternity Service is modern and progressive; working actively to ensure a gold standard Continuity of Care (CoC) model (co-produced by women and staff) is offered to all.

CoC reduces pre-term birth, hospital admission and intervention during labour; and is known to raise job satisfaction. We are seeking motivated, experienced and innovative midwives; passionate about providing CoC. We offer flexible working and development opportunities to maintain a highly motivated, competent workforce. We have 3 CoC teams and are planning new teams for 2023. Our success in developing this has been celebrated in the Trust, the LMNS and in the region.

We were shortlisted in the RCM Awards (2020); and in 2021 we achieved the Trust Chairman’s award. We are dedicated to staff wellbeing – offering psychological support to all with access to a PMA service. We have a strong ethos of multi-professional learning, service development & innovation. We are very proud of our friendly unit and expanding team.

Band 6/5 midwives with the relevant, required experience are invited to apply to meet the challenges of changing maternity climates; and to help us achieve our ambitious plans.
