Job summary
To participate in the provision of medical equipment acquisition approvals and commissioning within Clinical Engineering at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. This will include the identification, acquisition, planning, commissioning, deployment and management of new and replacement devices following a strict compliant acquisition and approval process prior to adoption of equipment. The post holder will work as part of a larger team to process complex device information of both clinical and technical natures. The post holder must have the ability to communicate with NHS and medical device industry stakeholders to help support the Medical Equipment Planning Unit (MEPU) activity.
The post holder will be based at the City campus but expected to occasionally work at the QMC campus.
Main duties of the job
The Medical Equipment Planning Unit within Clinical Engineering are looking for an experienced administrator to support the Technologists and work closely with the Team Coordinator. The successful candidate will need to be dynamic whilst maintaining routine administrative tasks such as recording medical equipment deployment details, gathering medical equipment information from suppliers, progressing medical equipment orders for trust projects and capital purchases, and dealing with general enquiries from the clinical teams and suppliers.
