Cardiac Anaesthetic Fellow
We are seeking to appoint 2 Anaesthetic Fellow with a sub-specialty interest in Cardiac Anaesthesia. The post is suited to an individual who wishes to develop their expertise and experience in their pursuit of a career in Cardiac Anaesthesia.
The Fellowship is a fixed term post for 12 months from commencement, and will be situated at our City Hospital Campus.
The post is full-time and comprises of fixed and flexible clinical sessions in Cardiac Theatres, the Cardiac interventional suite and Cardiac ICU, plus a resident on-call commitment of 1:7 appropriate to the post-holder's experience and expertise.

About us
The Anaesthetic Department works across the two campuses at NUH. Both parts of the department are cohesive and friendly units which take pride in providing a high standard of care in an excellent major teaching hospital environment.
Cardiac Services at NUH
The Cardiac Surgical Department is based in the Trent Cardiac Centre (TCC) at the City campus site. Ms Nicou is the current Cardiac Surgical Head of Service & Dr Prashanth Sadhahalli is the Cardiac Anaesthetic lead. The Cardiac Anaesthetic Department comprises currently of 8 substantive anaesthetists responsible for running two cardiac theatres and a 16 bedded CICU/ CHDU. The team also provides emergency support for Cardiac Cath lab during daytime hours. The nature of work encompasses Adult Cardiac Surgery including Coronary artery Bypass Surgery, Aortic valve and mitral valve surgery, ascending aortic and aortic arch surgery.
