An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialty PA to join our small and friendly Maxillofacial department on a full time, permanent basis.
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic person to join our brilliant team to deliver a high quality secretarial and administrative service to our head & neck cancer consultants, clinical teams and patients.
Main duties of the job

Some key duties will include:
Providing a full and thorough administrative service to consultants and patients within the service
Coordinating theatre lists and ensuring patients are listed for surgery in a timely manner
Tracking results and liaising with clinical teams
Liaising with patients and other departments via telephone

- Good standard of secondary education including English and Maths at GCSE C or above
- NVQ level 3 in Administration or equivalent experience
Desirable
- RSA Level 3 word or text processing or proven typing experience of producing letters/reports preferably from dictation systems

- Significant experience in office administration with customer contact e.g. outlook, spreadsheets (maintaining and updating), creating letters, reports, tables, answering and resolving telephone queries
Desirable
- Previous admin experience of working in the NHS using patient systems (Care flow, Notes, DHR etc.)
- Previous experience as working as a PA / support to others

- Demonstrates they can clearly and accurately convey information verbally gathered from both verbal and documented reports & spreadsheets in a clear and concise way
