Loxley Ward, based at the City Campus, plays a vital role in the admission of all planned surgical patients on site, including Gynaecology and Gynae-oncology cases. We care for both inpatient and day-case patients following surgery, providing a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Main duties of the job

• Respond to enquiries in person or via telephone in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.

• Create and maintain patient health record files in accordance with Trust procedures.

• Ensure strict confidentiality of all patient information, adhering to Information Governance (IG) policies at all times.

• Retrieve and return patient health records from departments across the Trust as required.

• Coordinate interpreting services for patients and families when necessary.

• Accurately input and update patient information on relevant hospital IT systems.

• Arrange and confirm follow-up appointments for patients, ensuring clear communication with both staff and patients.

• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming reception area at all times.
