Job summary

A full-time opportunity has arisen in the Clinical Support Directorate for a full time Deputy Service Manager to join our busy Theatres & Anaesthesia department.

We are looking for someone to coordinate and lead the administrative workforce, proactively line managing the team and supporting the Rota & Systems Manager, Specialty General Manager and Heads of Service to manage and maintain an effective rota system for Anaesthetic Consultants and Junior Doctors.

Working closely with the Management team , you will have excellent communication skills with proven experience of being able to manage multiple demands from different areas. You will have the ability to deal with sensitive situations and conflict in a diplomatic and tactful manner to ensure all stakeholders needs are met.

You will have experience in both leading and delivering elements of projects. You will possess the ability to work under pressure, with excellent planning, time management and organisational skills.

The successful candidate will have the ability to anticipate and manage capacity and performance issues in a timely manner. They will be able to organise and prioritise their own workload against constantly changing demands to meet agreed targets and deadlines.
